1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of the CrisisConnect platform and website, provided by CrisisConnect Limited (Company No: 17210373, registered in England and Wales). By registering or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

CrisisConnect provides a modular web-based platform for community organisations. The specific modules and features available depend on your subscription plan. We may update, modify, or improve the platform at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share login credentials or permit unauthorised access. You must notify us immediately of any suspected breach at support@crisisconnect.uk.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the platform only for lawful purposes in connection with your organisation's operations. You must not use the platform to store, process, or transmit data in a way that violates applicable law including UK GDPR. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure.

5. Data and privacy

You are the data controller for personal data you enter into the platform. CrisisConnect Limited acts as your data processor. A Data Processing Agreement governs this relationship and is incorporated into these terms. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis for processing personal data in the platform.

6. Intellectual property

The CrisisConnect platform, including all code, design, and documentation, is owned by CrisisConnect Limited. Your subscription grants you a licence to use the platform — it does not transfer any ownership. Your data remains yours at all times.

7. Subscriptions and payment

Subscriptions are billed through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle's terms apply to all billing transactions. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled. See our refund policy for details of what happens on cancellation.

8. Availability

We aim for 99% monthly availability. We will give at least 48 hours' notice of planned maintenance. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services, infrastructure failures, or events beyond our control.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your billing period. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. On termination, we will make your data available for export for 30 days before deletion.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
